Why choose a professional videographer?

Your wedding day is an incredibly special occasion which you will have undoubtedly been planning for a very long time. Timeless Productions promises to put the same care and consideration into capturing all the thought you put into your day in an original and professional manner. In much the same way as you wouldn’t trust a friend with the photography of your wedding, it would not be wise to entrust the task of videography either. Timeless Productions have all the professional equipment and experience to capture your day perfectly.

Why meet before the wedding?

We strongly recommend a casual meeting a few months before your wedding for several reasons. First and foremost, your wedding is a personal day and it may not be in your best interests to have it filmed by a complete stranger! Secondly, an informal meeting will give us the opportunity to discuss various details such as directions to the venue, your choice of music, etc.

On the day, will you remember the ideas we discussed?

Yes. A unique feature of Timeless Productions is that during our pre-wedding meeting, we will outline on paper all the specifications of your wedding package along with any filming preferences you may have (eg. a shot of the bride coming down stairs). The advantages of this are twofold: Firstly, this document serves as a form of guarantee for you that your final DVD will include everything you wanted. Secondly, it will put you completely at ease on your wedding day as you can rest assured your videographer knows exactly what you want and will be in position to capture those one-time-only moments.

Will every guest appear on the DVD?

Yes. Most clients enjoy seeing every guest at least once on their DVD. It serves as a wonderful reminder of every loved one who attended the wedding. An effective way of achieving this is by filming the receiving line in full. In order to make viewing this sequence more enjoyable, Timeless Productions often use cutaways and various camera positions, while overlaying a choice selection of your music suggestions.

Do I need to provide you with a meal at the wedding?

This is entirely up to you. A meal would be much appreciated, but you are under no obligation whatsoever. An advantage of supplying a meal however, is that your videographer will be on-hand for any impromptu moments and will of course, be happy to leave their meal to film. If you decide not to provide a meal, please be aware your videographer will need to leave the premises for at least forty-five minutes to get food elsewhere.

Can I choose my own music?

Absolutely. Your wedding DVD should be personal and unique to you – choosing your own music is an effective way of capturing the emotion of your wedding. It isn’t even necessary for you to create a compilation CD, simply provide us with a list of your favourite songs and we will acquire and incorporate as many as possible into your final DVD. Alternatively, if you are uncertain about what music you would like, we can suggest a variety of pieces from our extensive collection of classical and popular wedding music.

How good is the sound quality?

Sound is equally important as the image itself. You may have viewed some wedding videos where the vows are eclipsed with the sounds of crying babies or people coughing! Be assured, Timeless Productions takes every possible precaution that the most important part of your day is clearly audible. We do this through state-of-the-art camera technology and equipment. We use three microphones throughout your wedding. The first is the professional internal microphone built into our video camera. The second is a ‘shot-gun’ microphone which attaches to the camera to boost sound capability and quality. Finally, the third microphone is a miniscule sound piece attached behind the groom’s tie to ensure clear audibility from the bride, groom, and service officiator. During the editing process, Timeless Productions can also raise, lower or isolate different channels of recorded sound.

Can I order extra copies of the DVD?

Should you require some extra copies for family or friends, we would be more than happy to provide these at a small additional cost. As a rule, we always keep master copies of finished DVDs as well as raw footage. So you can be assured that if you accidentally damage your DVD at any time, Timeless Productions will always be able to provide you with a replacement.

Can I have the unedited footage?

Generally we do not recommend the release of unedited footage. This footage can be long and tedious to view as we will often film the same thing several times to ensure we have the prefect shot for the final DVD. Also, we like to keep the camera running at all times so that we don’t miss a moment of your big day – this works well in practice but means that some unedited footage can be several minutes of staring at the floor! You can be confident that everything worthwhile will be included in your DVD.

Can you film anything other than weddings?

In a word: yes! We have an incredible amount of experience filming everything from birthday parties to sports days to family reunions. We take immense pride in our ability to accept any filmatic challenge and produce a quality feature. If it is an occasion you want to remember forever, Timeless Productions can capture every moment while you relax and enjoy the celebrations.

Tanya & Thomas Hammond

The McErlean family held its third reunion in July 07, with events organised for over an average of 109 people. As the main organiser, I contacted Sean to discuss requirements. Sean demonstrated a professional approach throughout the entire week, gaining the confidence and trust of those who attended. He blended into the environment without intrusion. He liaised with the organisers to ensure the needs were met. We hope to contact Sean again for the next and any future events.

Sean's artistic eye for detail has produced the most amazing account of our civil partnership ceremony. It is fabulous. Thank you so much.
